This term, the children have been following up on some of the artwork they have done further down school by looking at the American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. As art enthusiasts, the children were quick to remember that O’Keeffe is an expert at painting American industrial landscapes and were eager to replicate her work. However, for this art lesson, the children dropped their paint brushes and headed to the ICT suite to hone in on their digital painting skills. By using the software ‘Revelation Natural Art’, the children were able to re-create her masterpiece: The East River. Jack and Kayla explained that by zooming in on each pixel they could make their artwork more intricate. I can’t wait to see the finished masterpieces!
